A unique collaboration of three musicians from three different countries and three different musical backgrounds. Together they create a style blend that delivers classic swing, blues, rock and roll, cuban, neapolitan and french songs (and instrumentals) all done in the original languages and respecting the mood of the original recordings and performances.


Simona Mango, born in Bern and raised in Naples, moved to Rome where she became a professional classical singer. From 1996 on she appeared in opera (Mozart: Così fan Tutte, Verdi: Nabucco, Puccini: Madama Butterfly, Bernstein: West Side Story amongst others) and concert (Mozart: Requiem, C-minor Mass, Händel: The Messiah, countless recitals)
Her childhood love of swing and blues was reawakened after meeting Bruce Reynolds and she is now one of those rare animals - a singer equally comfortable in either the classical or the swing field.

After twenty years in London as a session and live guitarist/ composer/ producer, Bruce Reynolds has extensive experience of studio, stage, radio and television (BBC, Channel 4, ITV television and BBC radio sessions). He played for Mammoth, Gilbert O’Sullivan and Killer Queen amongst others.
His versatility on the guitar ( classical, blues, rock, swing ) is the foundation of the Luna Llena sound.

Björn Baumgartner started the double bass at the age of 12 in Zürich. While at high school he developed his technique playing with such diverse bands as a Tango Quartet and a Symphony orchestra!
After successfully attaining a a Teaching/ Performance Diploma at the famous Swiss Jazz School in Bern he has been a freelance bassist in Switzerland appearing with Roman Schwaller, Adrian Mears, Sandy Patton and the Swiss Jazz Orchestra amongst others.
